IoT wireless kit for monitoring

WELOG introduces the new wireless IoT kit designed for advanced structural monitoring. Easy to install and fully manageable from the cloud via smartphone, tablet, or PC, this system ensures precise measurements every 15 minutes. Compared to traditional wired networks, the kit offers significant savings on installation costs and provides a rapid return on investment, calculated in a few months based on current monthly rental prices.

Innovation Compared to Traditional Methods

Traditional systems, such as cursor deformometers with resolutions of 0.1 mm and measurements taken once a day, are unable to detect structural movements related to thermal variations or other factors. WELOG's wireless IoT kit has been developed to overcome these limitations, offering continuous and more accurate monitoring, ideal for industry professionals.

Key Features of the Kit

The core of the system is a four-channel IoT control unit from the "Pico" series, battery-powered and equipped with an integrated temperature gauge. Depending on project requirements, a wide range of sensors can be selected, including displacement, rotation, strain, level, and pressure sensors.

Inside the case, the control unit is pre-configured and ready for operation, directly connected to the cloud. The detection frequency of every 15 minutes allows for near real-time alert threshold settings. Data access is simple, via personal credentials that allow consultation on smartphones, tablets, or PCs.

Kit Contents

The main kits available are three, each with different sensor configurations to suit various monitoring applications.

Kit 1

Four linear sensors with a 50 mm measuring range and spherical joints

Kit 2

Three linear sensors with a 50 mm measuring range and spherical joints, plus an external temperature gauge with a solar shield

Kit 3

Two biaxial millesimal inclinometers with a two-degree-of-freedom bracket

Each kit also includes:

  • A ready-to-use wireless IoT control unit;
  • Credentials for cloud access;
  • High-gain antenna;
  • Four standard 5-meter cables (with the option to request cables of different lengths);
  • Template for correct hole positioning;
  • Anchors for securing the control unit and sensors;
  • Spacers with corresponding knobs;
  • Detailed assembly instructions;
  • Formulas for calculating displacement components (sensors mounted in a triangular configuration).

Wireless Connection and Cost Savings

The "Pico" series wireless IoT control units use proprietary radio frequencies to transmit data to the cloud, eliminating the need for expensive wired infrastructure. The control unit configuration allows the use of linear sensors, inclinometers, strain gauges, load cells, piezometric transducers, level and pressure sensors, as well as water presence sensors.

The purchase of the control unit includes one year of renewable connectivity and free access to the portal for viewing and downloading collected data.
